Danny Gokey has a unique story about the reason he is one of the semi-finalists in American idol season 8. Danny Gokey is a 28 years old church music teacher from Milwaukee. This is not the usual profile of the candidates of American idol and it makes him special already. The main reason Danny Gokey is in the show is his wife. Those of you who doesn’t know him and his story probably saying now ‘so, what’s the big deal ? I’m doing things that my wife tells me to do everyday’. Well’ that’s not exactly the story here because the decision about Danny Gokey’s audition to American idol is probably one of the last decisions the couple made together. Sophia, Danny Gokey’s wife, passed away four weeks before he auditioned, after she had suffered a congenital heart disease. His wife had motivated him to try out before she died. Wow, That’s a big reason to try as hard as he can but is that all ? I believe not. People have lot’s of ways to deal with the lost of their beloved ones. I’m sure that for Danny Gokey, loosing his wife being so young and at the beginning of his grown life, should be a major trauma. Some people are dealing such traumas in active ways, out of the fear of the depression that can easily come if you’ll let it. Active coping can be very strong when you know that the love that you’ve just lost would have want you to do whatever it is that your’e doing. That’s the main reason that we keep hearing the sentence whe would want me to…’. In Danny Gokey’s case, His wife would want him to be in American idol. This fact gives him a great deal of motivation but a I guess the problem with that is the expectations. Danny Gokey’s greatest power can easily become his greatest weakness because of his natural vulnerability right now. I’m sure he feel’s that in no way he can disappoint himself and/or his wife. This is quite dangerous because the American idol is a cruel competition in which most of the people loose. I really hope that I’m wrong because Danny Gokey looks like a great and sensitive guy, maybe that’s why I’m worried. Another interesting detail in Danny Gokey’s story is that he auditioned in Kansas city, Missouri along with his best friend, Jamar Rogers. He made it through Hollywood rounds along with Rogers. Rogers was eliminated before making it in the top 36. This should be hard for Danny Gokey because all of the sudden he is all alone. I’m sure that Rogers was a big source of confidence for him and now he left and Gokey lost it. I hope I’m not being over-protective about this guy but I think it’s just a delicate situation he’s dealing with and it’ll take a lot of strength to go with all the way. I hope to see him in the very final stages.

Adam Lambert doesn’t stop surprising me throughout all of his auditions in American idol. He is such a good performer with outstanding vocal ability. Last week during the live show his voice was unbelievable. Although I didn’t love the song he chose to sing his voice stunned me. Adam Lambert has the ability and talent to sing and perform well. Adam Lambert knows how to move according to the song’s music and lyrics; as one of American idol’s judges said, Adam Lambert knows how to work a stage.

There are many good singer s with great vocal ability that can’t perform or work a stage well and that’s what keeping them from succeeding in showbiz. If a stage artiest doesn’t have the natural talent and confides to stand on a stage, he has to work really hard in order to understand how to do it.

Throughout the show American idol present as a verity of contestants that have different talents and abilities. There are some really good contestants that just can’t perform well in front of a live audience or in front of a camera. But as it reviles throughout the show, there are also really good contestants that have all the talents needed to rock a stage! Adam Lambert is without a doubt one of the contestants that knows how to perform. In a way I wasn’t surprised that he was chosen for the top twelve. As I herd Adam Lambert have lots of experience in the filed of stage performances and it is really shows! Adam Lambert is not just a good singer he also dresses really nice! He has a cool stile and taste in clothing. That is not the only thing that is cool; he has a really cool hair, its clear that he is going to a good hair designer. All of those things I mentioned add up together and the result is a ‘star’ that sings, performs and looks good. Usually in reality shows like American idol, the stage production responsible to the contestant’s look. They make sure that the ‘star’ that they build up dresses good and stylish!

In Adam Lambert’s case he already dresses like a star should dress. It looks like Adam Lambert was borne to be a star; he has such a uniform personality and refreshing style that he hardly needs any help from the productions to become a star.

When I look at all the thirty six contestants that were chosen it is clear that not every one are in the same level. The thing that’s even clearer is that the contestants that are chosen out of the thirty six contestants to move to the top twelve are the best among the thirty six. During the last four chapters there was not even a one time that I was disappointed with the viewer’s decision. The viewers listen to the judge’s criticism and vote to the most talented contestants. What also very surprising is the fact that during the live show there is always really good performances or really bed ones, there is no middle.

Allison Iraheta is one of the most promising contestants in American idol, season eight. Last week she gave an outstanding preference during the first show of the second group of the thirty six, which cowhided her in a place at the top twelve contestants this season. Allison Iaheta is a sixteen years old from Los Angeles, California. In a one on one interview, she can be a little corny and silly. But that is o.k., because she is just a sixteen year old without any experience in showbiz. At list she knows how to sing and perform well. As season eight continuing it is clear that the contestants this season are all very good. When I herd Allison Iraheta last night I was sure that not only she is one of the best singers in her group, but she is also one of the people that most likely to win American idol. As I already said before almost all of the contestants that are chosen for the top twelve are the best. All of them got me very exited when they sang for their first time on the show. They all managed to get me connected to the song and by doing that they obviously succeeded in their mission to pass to the top twelve. Each and every one of them deserves a spot at the top twelve and maybe win American idol. Usually when the contestants are young as Allison Iraheta is, I don’t give them much hope in wining the show. This is due to three mane reasons: the first reason is because their voice isn’t fully developed yet. The second reason is because in most of the cases they don’t have a full developed way of thinking and orientation, so they are not very interesting as artists. The third reason is because of the fact that at the age of sixteen they are still very young and experiences like American idol can some time break you. They have all the time in the world to improve and succeed in life; they don’t necessarily have to have this kind of opportunity. But in Allison Iraheta case I don’t fill any objection towards her participates in the show. It looks like Allison Iraheta voice has fully developed and that her voice has a unique and interesting sound. She has a true talent in her ability to sing and perform. She is a true stare that was discovered by American idol. Although Allison Iraheta is just sixteen years old, there is some thing about her that makes me want her to win. She is very talented and very modest and I believe that is a good combination. I wander what her parent’s origin is? She has a really unique Asian look. I wonder if she has any connection to Asia?! In conclusions, I believe that Allison Iraheta is one of the best contestants this season in American idol and that the rest of the contestants have a good reason to fear her.
